It’s always a wonderful thing when God shows us the state of our hearts, not to chastise us but rather, to show us the lies the enemy is planting in our minds.
Yesterday, I felt some serious chains fall off me because I had been dealing with a perverse shame. This is not the kind of shame that comes from hiding something that happened to you but a shame that comes from almost wishing that perhaps certain things should have happened to me so that I can be more useable by God. Fact is, God is already using all of us whether we realise it or not!
Like I said, it’s perverse but the Bible does say, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]?” (Jeremiah 17:9 AMPC).
My heart for you is that this video helps you understand that as you are, you are enough for God to do what He needs to do through you. Anything that tries to tell us we need to be more or less of something in order for God’s plans to prevail in our lives is a lie. We were created in His image and likeness and for a predetermined end full of good works that He has already planned for us. The enemy will always subtly attack our identity in this area because if he is able to distract us with lies, then at best He will slow us down from getting to where God is taking us. Praise God because all the enemy can really do is slow us down – he is not powerful enough to abort our destinies because God remains Lord over our lives as we continue to abide in Him. In Jesus’ name, amen.
